This year, we celebrated 25 years of innovation, trust, and transformation—a journey that has shaped the connected vehicle industry. From surpassing 14 million connected vehicles to launching new products and expanding globally, these highlights showcase how we’ve continued to grow and collaborate. They also inspire optimism for 2025 and beyond as we empower the future of mobility. 1. 25 years of innovation, trust and transformation In 2024 WirelessCar marked its 25th anniversary in the automotive industry. Since 1999, the company has evolved from pioneering telematics for Volvo Cars to connecting over 14 million vehicles in 100+ markets globally as of now. Built on collaboration with major automakers like Volkswagen, Subaru and Nissan, we have earned trust by delivering reliable, customer-centric mobility solutions. Over the years, the company has transformed into a global leader, blending Swedish heritage with a commitment to shaping the future of EVs, safety, and autonomous mobility. 2. We have surpassed 14 million connected vehicles worldwide—and 15 is just around the corner! At the start of 2023, WirelessCar celebrated connecting ten million vehicles globally. Since then, we’ve accelerated our growth, reaching 11, 12, 13, and this autumn, 14 million vehicles across a growing number of OEM brands. As CEO Niklas Florén reflected, “Each new car validates our growth journey and shows that we evolve and bring innovation and scale to the future.” With 15 million on the near horizon, WirelessCar is driving global transformation in connected mobility. 3. New customer signings In today’s dynamic and fast-evolving world, WirelessCar continues to be a trusted partner to a growing number of automakers. By blending innovation and adaptability with dependable, globally available services, we’ve achieved significant growth in 2024, welcoming new automotive customers in different markets to our journey of empowering the future of mobility. 4. Digital Key Management product launch We launched a new cloud-based product, Digital Key Management, in January of 2024. Built on the Car Connectivity Consortium’s (CCC) standard, it implements secure, seamless digital key solutions. By replacing physical keys, it enables automakers to deliver enhanced customer experiences, reduce costs, and support digital transformation. With built-in cybersecurity compliance and compatibility, it accelerates adoption while meeting evolving customer expectations. 5. Launch of full suite of SaaS products on AWS Marketplace WirelessCar announced the launch of its full suite of SaaS products on AWS Marketplace in November. Automakers can now easily find and purchase our innovative solutions like Connected Car Essentials, Digital Key Management, and Smart EV Routing, with 24/7 service, end-to-end management, and lifecycle support. This milestone empowers automakers to accelerate innovation, reduce time-to-market, and scale securely, leveraging WirelessCar’s expertise and Professional Services. In addition, WirelessCar was featured as an AWS China Customer Reference, showcasing how our collaboration has delivered exceptional results in enabling seamless and scalable connected mobility solutions for automakers in the region. WirelessCar celebrating 25 years! Digital Key Management product launch WirelessCar establishes office in Japan 6. WirelessCar establishes Japan branch and join Swedish Prime Minister trade delegation to Japan In November we announced the opening of our Japan branch, marking a new chapter in supporting the digital transformation of Japanese automakers. Building on 25 years of innovation and a decade of collaboration with a leading Japanese automaker, the new office will strengthen partnerships and address challenges with EVs and connected mobility. Recently, our CEO Niklas Florén also joined a Swedish trade delegation to Japan, having this to say: “The visit focused on boosting Sweden’s role as a strategic partner in innovation, sustainability, and industrial collaboration. As someone who truly believes that collaboration is key to solving tough challenges, it was inspiring to explore how we can strengthen our connections even more.” 7. We welcome Hanna Belleus to our Management team WirelessCar announced Hanna Belleus as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, effective December 1, 2024. With extensive experience in software, automotive, and design industries, Hanna brings a global, people-focused leadership style and a proven track record in brand transformation. In her new role, she aims to unify WirelessCar’s story, drive strategic growth, and foster a strong, collaborative culture to strengthen the company’s future. 8. Key discoveries from research project on AI and sustainable mobility WirelessCar’s FREEDOM Project, in partnership with Halmstad University, tackled how AI and connected vehicles can advance sustainable mobility. The research revealed the critical role of battery size and green energy in reducing EV emissions. This led to innovative concepts like "Plug & Save" which optimizes charging schedules using AI to cut costs and support energy systems like V2H and V2G. The project underscores the power of cross-disciplinary collaboration—blending data science, machine learning, and service design—and highlights how turning raw data into actionable insights can drive the future of mobility and energy solutions. 9. WirelessCar at China’s SAECCE conference WirelessCar actively participated in the SAECCE 2024, one of China’s premier events for automotive technology, with Nick Liu delivering a thought-provoking presentation that explored the critical intersections of connected vehicles, data compliance, and sustainability. Our engagement at SAECCE demonstrated our ongoing efforts to address industry challenges and pave the way for the future of intelligent mobility in China and beyond. 10. Sponsorship for Chalmers Formula Student racing team WirelessCar has been thrilled to continue our sponsorship of Chalmers Formula Student during 2024. This summer, the team set racetracks in Germany and Hungary on fire with their electric racing car, Freja, excelling in both autonomous and manual driving. CFS, a student-led project at Chalmers University, competes internationally in designing and building formula-style vehicles.
